On Friday, we wrapped up session four of the 2016 A.i.R. program with our final Open Studios of the season! It was a night filled with art, readings, and (of course) food…exactly what we needed to keep us warm on a blustery fall evening! Thank you to everyone who came out to support our artists
On Friday, talented print maker and artist in residence Padma Rajendran gave us a crash course in relief printing using lino cuts. It was wonderful to learn about such an accessible form of printing in a hands-on way, and we all agree that this is an art form we’d like to further explore in the future!
Yesterday, residents had the opportunity to meet and share their work with local artist David Nyzio. Presenting a tour of the Byrdcliffe Guild for your viewing pleasure! First stop: the Villetta Inn, where most of our residents live. Next door to the Villetta is the Byrdcliffe Theater, home to many a wonderful production! The theater also marks the trail head for hikes leading to Mt. Guardian Viewpoints and the Bluestone Quarry.

Open Studios gave Woodstock locals the opportunity to see what the residents have been up to for the past four weeks, speak with visual artists about their work, attend our writers’ reading, and celebrate the beginning of September with a potluck! Thanks so
