It has been a wonderful weekend at Byrdcliffe for the third session residents. Oscar Buitrago welcomed us into his beautiful Woodstock home where we ate a delicious dinner and spoke with board members of the guild and past residents and artists in the area. We are grateful for their hospitality.
There has been a lot of communal cooking, and residents had a lot of unused potatoes from the Japanese Curry Night dinner. So on Sunday we gathered together for a summertime hanukah feast with homemade latkes, sour cream, apple sauce, ginger carrots, israeli salad, tomato salad, and steamed broccoli. We all enjoyed sitting out on the porch and eating together.
