New artists in residence arrived last Wednesday, the 5th. We enjoyed a gourmet welcome dinner cooked by chef (and resident!)Matthew Ward, which consisted of a homemade roasted garlic and red pepper pasta sauce with spaghetti, a fresh salad with vegetables, chickpeas, and apples, garlic baguettes, and cookies and ice cream for dessert! Another resident, Ann, even made a delicious pie to share with everyone! The artists got to work right away setting up in their studios, sharing their work with each other, and starting new works.
